Electric and plug-in hybrid manufacturers

Audi stepped into the electric vehicle market with it's e-Tron plug-in hybrid series with A3 and Q7. In 2018 they announced the Audi e-Tron, they first fully electric vehicle. As Volkswagen group announces more and more electric vehicles, Audi will have more EVs as well.
BMW stepped into the electric vehicle market with it's plug-in hybrid cars. After that i3 was announced, BMW's first fully electric vehicle. From 2019 we expect more electric vehicles to be announced by BMW.
Chevrolet was an early innovator of plug-in hybrid cars as part of GM (General Motors) with Volt, then they built the fully electric Bolt based on the plug-in hybrid Volt. These cars were sold in USA and in Europe with Opel Ampera and Opel Ampera-e names.
Chrysler is one of the "Big Three" automobile manufacturers in the United States, which was bought by Fiat in 2014.
Citroen is part of the French PSA group which includes Citroen, Peugeot, DS and Opel. Their electric vehicle strategy is built on their common CMP platform. Citroen aims to introduce 4 EVs and 7 PHEV models in 2019-2020.
Cupra
DS is part of the French PSA group which includes Citroen, Peugeot, DS and Opel. DS is the luxury and technical branch of the PSA group. The first model will be the DS3 crossback e-tense, and continously all models will have an electric or plug-in hybrid version as well.
Fiat only produced the electric Fiat 500, which they plan to improve a bit around 2020.
Fisker was one of the first car manufacturer creating luxury plug-in hybrid sport car, the Karma. It wasn't a big success, so that's the only Fisker model in production so far, but they plan to come back with new models from 2020.
Ford decided to built it's own electric-car platform, which means that several new EV and PHEV models will come from 2020. Before they had the Focus Electric with more-or-less popularity.
Honda commits to a 15% EV and 50% hybrid target for global sales by 2030. They don't yet have an electric car in production. Their first electric car will be a car based on their Urban concept car.
The Hyundai group (Kia, Hyundai) announced it's electric car strategy in 2016. In 2019 Kia stepped into the electric car market with it's Kona model with big battery and a good price, so it's a good choice nowadays.
The British Jaguar, which is owned by Tata, was one of the first car manufacturer to produce a luxury electric SUV, the I-Pace. Jaguar is a big supported of the Formula E series.
The Hyundai group (Kia, Hyundai) announced it's electric car strategy in 2016. Kia is the second largest car manufacturer in South Korea after Hyundai, it's parent company. The first EV fo Kia was the Kia Soul EV from 2014 and they plan to have an almost complete electric car feelt by 2020-2022.
The British Land Rover, which is owner by Tata, had a few PHEV models, however we haven't heard about any upcoming EV models.

MG underwent many changes in ownership starting with Morris merging with Austin in The British Motor Corporation Limited in 1952. MG became the MG Division of BMC in 1967 and so a component of the 1968 merger that created British Leyland Motor Corporation. By the start of 2000 MG was part of the MG Rover Group which entered receivership in 2005 and the assets and the MG brand were purchased by Nanjing Automobile Group (which merged into SAIC in 2008) for GB£53 million.
Electromobility is an important part of the strategy of Mercedes-Benz. They started to create their own electric-car platform. The first cars built on this platform will be the EQC. Many more models will follow this first model. From 2015 Mercedes produces a few plug-in hybrid cars, however they had only one fully electric car, the Mercedes B250e, which was built with electric car technologies from Tesla.
Mini, as part of the BMW group, started to have plug-in hybrid cars with it's Mini Countryman model. The first fully electric Mini will come around 2019-2020.
Mitsubishi was one of the first automaker which produced an electric car, it was the i-MiEv model. After that they built the plug-in hybrid car, however they didn't iterate on their electric car. From 2020 we could see their new plug-in hybrid car, the Engelberg, but there are no news for a new electric car.
Nissan was one of the first pioneer on the electric car market with it's award-winning Nissan Leaf, which was the best-selling electric vehicle on many markets for many years. Besides that Leaf they have the e-NV200, which is one of the best electric lightweight commercial vehicle. We hope that more electric models will be announced from 2020.
Opel is part of the French PSA group which includes Citroen, Peugeot, DS and Opel since 2018. Opel was an early innovator of plug-in hybrid cars as part of GM (General Motors) with Ampera, then they built the fully electric Ampera-e based on the plug-in hybrid Ampera. Both cars were great one, however the fully electric Ampeara is a rare car in Europe, as they couldn't make profit on this car. In 2018 PSA group bought Opel from GM and they announced that from 2020 many new Opel electric cars will come starting with the fully-electric Opel Corsa.
Peugeot is part of the French PSA group which includes Citroen, Peugeot, DS and Opel. Their electric vehicle strategy is built on their common CMP platform. Peugeot aims to introduce 4 EVs and 7 PHEV models in 2019-2020.
Volvo decided to step into electric car market in 2017 with their new luxury-sporty car brand, Polestar, which will have only plug-in hybrid and electric cars. They announced Polestar 2 in 2019 as the main competitor of Tesla Model 3, we'll see.
The german Porsche as part of Volkswagen group will produce fully electric cars from 2019. It's first model will be the Porsche Taycan based on their Missin E concept. They had plug-in hybrid models as well before from Cayenne and Panamera models.
The French car manufacturer, Renault, is one of the first automake who started to research and product electric cars. Their most popular model is Zoe, but they more models from the small Twizy to the commercial vehicle Kangoo with electric version.
SEAT's first fully-electric cars will be built on Volkswagen electric-car platform. These models will come from 2020.
Skoda
Smart is part of Daimler creating small city cars with both electric and internal combustion engines. The latest 4th generation Smart EQ was announced in 2016 with all models having electric version as well.
Sono
Tazzari is an Italian car manufacturer creating small electric cars at a competitive price. They sell cars in UK and Europe.
Probably this site wouldn't exist if Tesla woud not exist. They're truly the biggest innovator in electric car market with they SEXY (or SEXYR) model fleet of Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y and Roadstar.
We could thank the spreading of hybrid cars for Toyota with it's Prius model, however they don't plan to produce fully-electric cars in the recent years. It is no secret that Toyota prefers the backing of fuel cell vehicles rather than the battery electric vehicles.
Volkswagen has bad reputation with their diesel problem, however they plan to have a big change in their model palette from 2020 with many electric car models. The first model will be the Volkswagen I.D. Neo, which will be followed with many more I.D. models with the same MEB platform.
Volvo has plug-in hybrid version from many of it's models. We're waiting for it's first fully-electric model.
